What Psalm to read when you have depression?
Psalm 23 is one of the most beautiful passages to cheer you up when you're feeling down.
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing; He makes me rest in green pastures. He leads me beside calm waters; It gives me new strength.
He guides me in paths of justice for the love of his name. Even if I go through dark valleys, I fear no danger because you are by my side; Your shepherd's rod comforts me.
You prepare a banquet before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed my head with perfume; You have filled my cup to overflowing.
Kindness and love will follow me all the days of my life; and in the house of the Lord I will dwell forever .
Verse 5 contains a powerful promise that, even in the midst of hardship, God provides for us: “You prepare a banquet before me in the presence of my enemies.”
